Sneakers&Cape to discover the cool «East End» in London

Location: Brick Lane St, East London.

Here I am with a new awesome post dedicated to my friend Julia Romera!! Julia is the owner of alpARTgata ( www.alpartgata.com ). She creates customized and handcrafted painted sneakers. She works with illusion in every item she does and she always communicates it with a possitive and happy mood since you keep on touch with her!! Thank you Julia! Mines are from “Alpartgatas viajeras” collection and as the name mentions…they are the principal protagonist of my first post in the British capital!. In this post I am also wearing a cape-poncho by TOPSHOP, sweater and shirt in red by H&M, skinny worn jeans by MOTO for TOPSHOP and black leather bag by LONGCHAMP.

Aquí estoy de nuevo con un fantástico post que dedico a mi amiga Julia Romera!! Julia es propietaria de alpARTgata ( www.alpartgata.com ) y crea zapatillas personalizadas pintadas a mano cuidadosamente y con toda su ilusión, la cual emana tan sólo con verla y transmite desde el momento en que hablas con ella!! Gracias Julia! Las mías son de la colección “Alpartgatas viajeras”, y como no podía ser de otra manera han viajado hasta Londres para ser las protagonistas de mi primer post en la capital británica. El resto del outfit consiste en una capa-poncho de TOPSHOP, jersey rojo vivo y blusa en igual tono de H&M, pantalones pitillo de efecto desgastado de MOTO para TOPSHOP y bolso de cuero negro de LONGCHAMP.

This shooting is done in East End London area, currently the coolest neighborhood in the British city. This zone was some decades ago where the artists, photographers and designers began to set up because the prices of the accommodation were cheaper. In the endings 90´s the neighborhood was made into a trendy, indie, pop, fashion and arty area. Brick Lane Street is the most “in” here. The urban art like graffitis, mostly those belonging to a very popular British artist of graffitis, decorate all the walls and streets. There are a lot of stores selling clothes, books, vinyls and even property companies, all of them tuning to the indie aesthetic.

El post está realizado en East End London, el barrio más cool hoy en día en la ciudad. Este barrio hace décadas era donde se empezaron a instalar artistas, fotógrafos y diseñadores creando sus estudios en talleres abandonados en su día ya que eran económicamente muy accesibles. Para el final de los 90, el barrio se convertía en un territorio trendy, indie, pop, fashion y arty. La calle Brick Lane es lo más “in ” de esta zona. El arte urbano se torna omnipresente con los grafitis de un popular artista del grafiti inglés, adornando sus calles y muros. Las tiendas, las disqueterías, las librerías y hasta las agencias inmobiliarias sintonizan con una implícita estética indie.
