Discovering Porto

We are already in August! The vacation and travel season. If you like urban tourism, I give you here an idea of how to go comfortably on foot to discover the alleys and hidden places of a city. This post is made in Porto, a city that connects the Douro River to the sea, and which I feel special because this river rises in the province of my hometown. Porto has that retro touch of picturesque town near the sea and linked to the river. I love the area of the side walk of the river with typical Portuguese houses cover by ceramics in different colors. I also like the terraces, different wineries, the boats on the river, the trams, the bridges, the gastronomy … Totally recommended. In this post I visited as you can see the “Library Lello”, a classic in the city center, nice outside and especially inside, with an impressive staircase connecting the two floors of the local.

Ya estamos en Agosto!. La época de vacaciones y viajes. Si lo que os va es el turismo urbano, en este post os doy una idea de cómo ir cómoda a descubrir a pie las callejuelas y lugares recónditos de una ciudad. Este post está realizado en Oporto, ciudad donde desemboca al mar el Río Duero, y por la cual tengo especial predilección, ya que este río nace en la provincia de mi ciudad natal. Oporto tiene ese toque retro de ciudad pintoresca cercana al mar y ligada al río. Me encanta la zona de la ribera con las típicas casitas portuguesas y sus fachadas azulejadas de diferentes colores, así como sus terrazas, sus bodegas, sus barquitos en el río, sus tranvías, sus puentes, su gastronomía…Totalmente recomendable. En este post visité como podéis ver la “Librería Lello”, un clásico en el centro de la ciudad, bonita por fuera y sobre todo por dentro, con una escalera impresionante que comunica los dos pisos del local.
